Sophia Noel Fine Art

With Wyland Galleries on Oahu

While finishing up her Undergraduate Bachelor of Art at the University of Michigan, Sophia discovered a grand opportunity to chase a dream when stumbling into Wyland Galleries on the North Shore of Oahu on her last ever college spring break... after walking the stage with degree in hand, Sophia painted intricate large scale seascapes diligently for four months and hopped on a plane to the island of Oahu with a one way ticket and a dream to be an island fine artist.

Since arriving to Hawaii, Sophia has enthusiastically immersed herself into the island's lifestyle and culture with a full heart, getting to know the interconnected commmunity of Oahu's people from her oceanside treehouse on the Windward side all the way to the North Shore. The island's endless stream of inspiration and beauty has resulted in bodies of work that highlight the beautiful moments of island lifestyle whether it be the sunset's glow through the crest of a big glassy wave on an Aloha Friday or a grand display of the majetsic Koolau mountains on a misty Hawaii morning. Wherever she goes, Sophia's eyes are open to the possibility of what's next, ready to turn her next island adventure or experience into a painting to share with others. With respect to the flourishing Aina and its people, Sophia pulls from the abundant beauty of the Hawaiian islands to create artwork that boasts of the island's treasures.
