"Increments of Fear"

This design was a proposal project for a Third Stone Apparel shirt- There is a quote by surfer Buzzy Trent, “Waves are not measured in feet and inches; they're measured in increments of fear." I loved this quote so much and the first thing that came to mind when I read it was a shirt of a skeleton surfing through a boneyard of broken boards and skulls with just the words “Increments of Fear” written above. The crests of the waves are a trippy Drew Brophy style, a hint at the artist whose phsycadelic surf art has lived on through history on the North Shore and beyond.
